At the beginning of 2017, after a decade of structural engineering, I was ready to immerse myself full time as a traditional artist. I am a self-taught and self-disciplined traditional artist who rigorously strives to improve with each succeeding piece of artwork I create. I work primarily with oil paint or charcoal pencil as my medium.

I find inspiration through the natural beauty of California and the expression of the human body. I strive to unite confident draftsmanship with both traditional and romantic style in each piece I create. I study the works of John Singer Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla y Bastida, Anders Zorn, William Wendt, and Edgar Payne. My goal is to create pieces of artwork that evoke joy and wonder. The act of creation, and the representation of beauty drive my artistic passion.

I also welcome commissions, specializing in both oil painting and charcoal drawing portraiture.
